Brothers,
The Denver metro area has over 5000 homeless and every Wednesday from Noon to 1:30, Christ in the City serves lunch to the homeless. On Wednesday, December 26th, most of their Missionaries will be home with families for the first time in months but our homeless remain.
I need upwards of 14 volunteers to serve lunch to the homeless next Wednesday. If you are free next Wednesday, please consider giving a few hours of your time to care for the least among us.
We will be helping as follows:
– Setting up
-Serving Lunch
-Interacting/Socializing with Homeless
-handing out cold weather items
-Clean up
We serve lunch at the South End of Lincoln Memorial Park next to the State Capital. We start setting up at 11:45am. Lunch runs from 12pm until 1:30pm. Parking is available at the Cathedral Downtown or nearby.

I also encourage you to watch the following video: Have the Homeless Become So Invisible?
St Thomas More Parish will be providing the lunch and sending 14 volunteers and Christ in the City has asked us to provide at least 14. If you can volunteer, please contact me directly at jcwhat87@gmail.com. If you haven’t volunteered with Christ in the City before, there is a brief training session held at their offices held the same day.
Families are welcome so please contact me if you can serve.
Respectfully yours,
John C Whattam, Past Grand Knight
